16A What's Your Secret Sauce

Reasons why my human capital is unique...

  1. I have a unique background in innovation and the products being used
  2. I've been on the same side as the people I'm selling my product too
  3. I'll be creating a useful modification for older cars that isn't ridiculously overpriced
  4. Not only do I know the products I'm using but I know the cars too so installation will be quicker and cheaper
  5. I am a hard worker and will solve any problem that arises in a timely manner
Interviews
When asked "What makes me different?" this is how they responded...
  1. "Gavin has a very creative mindset backed up by a strong intellect, allowing him to solve issues in a unique way and most times a more efficient way. He's always been able to locate all issues and run through solutions in his head quickly in order to narrow down the possible solution."
-Mother
  1. "Gavin is a hard worker, we raised him that way. Whether it was on the football field, in the classroom, or at work, he's always been able to make the most of his time in whatever he is doing. There is a very small amount of lost efficiency when Gavin experiences a new problem. He immediately gets to work on solving it and usually won't stop until he does."
-Father
  1. "Gavin is a very caring person, often times he will bend his schedule to revolve around others so their life is easier. Gavin can do this without thinking of it because he knows how to manage his time accordingly allowing him to help someone else while not losing any time at his own tasks."
-Brother
  1. "Gavin likes to have fun, so if he is designing something to help him out chances are he will make it in a way that requires little work from him when product is complete so he can still live normally. He won't create something that ends up making him have to change his everyday tasks or lifestyle. He'll create something that'll get rid of everyday tasks."
-Friend
  1. "Gavin has always had a thing for science, whether it's watching youtube videos to better his understanding of complex concepts, building complex structures, or just learning more in any way he can. This is never required of him but for as long as I can remember Gavin just liked to learn new things, and with this he's gained a wealth of knowledge in areas he'll probably never have to take a course on. This makes Gavin knowledgeable in several different topics that may be useful in the long run."
-High School Science teacher

Personally I do see myself as all these things, but never thought they were what made me unique. And what could make my future products / services unique either. After going through these interviews I would add to the list that I like to learn, letting people know that if your situation is different and needs to be accessed in a different light that I will learn about it and find a new / mor improved solution from there.

Comments

  1. Gavin,
This list of qualities and skills is very admirable. It seems like you're a hardworking guy that cares for people, does his best, and loves to learn. After reading your posts for several weeks now, I would say that you're also diligent and thoughtful in your studies. You seems to care deeply about not only the product you're creating, but school in general. I would consider us very similar in those regards.
